A new law governing the use of Dubai’s official emblems and government logos is set to take effect. Violators could face up to five years in jail, fines ranging from Dh100,000 to Dh500,000, or both.
Issued by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the law strictly prohibits the use of these logos for commercial purposes, including advertising and product promotion.
